FAQ: How to send automated text messages to new leads?

Answer:

There are two ways to send automated text messages to a new lead.

  • Setting it up in Call Flow

  • Create a drip campaign and apply it to a campaign where you want to send automated text messages.

Follow the steps below to learn more.

Setting up automated sending of text messages through call flow.

Note: The text message will automatically be sent to a lead whenever a missed call is received.

  1. Navigate to your profile on the top right corner, and click ‘Manage Number’

2. Click the ‘Call Flow’ tab. The list of call flows will appear.

3. Select from the Call Flow list where you want to send automated text messages.

4. Under the ‘Action’ column, click the ‘Pencil’ icon to open the ‘Setup Call Flow’ window.

5. Scroll down to the ‘Missed Call SMS’ section, and turn the toggle on.

6. Type the text message that you want to be sent automatically. Hit ‘Save Call Flow’.

Creating a drip campaign for sending automated text messages

  1. Navigate to the ‘General’ tab, and select ‘Drip Campaign’. The list of drip campaigns will appear.

2. Select from a drip campaign where you want to set up an automated sending of text messages.

3. Click the ‘Pencil’ icon in the ‘Action’ column.

4. Set up the automatic SMS to the drip campaign.

a. Select ‘SMS’ as an action.

b. Fill in the message box with the automated text message.

c. Hit ‘Edit Campaign’.

Set up the automated text messaging for a campaign.

  1. After creating a drip campaign, select the campaign you want to send automated text messaging.

  2. Navigate to your profile, and select ‘Manage Numbers’. The ‘Manage Numbers’ window will open.

  3. Click the ‘For Leads’ tab and select the lead source you want to run the campaign that sends automatic text messages.

4. Click the ‘Pencil’ icon to edit.

5. Go to the ‘Drip Automation’ tab. Enable the ‘Auto assign a Drip to leads’.

6. Turn the toggle on to ‘Leads created from incoming un-answered calls’.

7. Click the dropdown list to choose the ‘Auto Follow Up’ sequence. Select the drip campaign created for sending automated text messages.

8. Hit ‘Edit Campaign’.

Note: If the first step of the drip campaign is for a text to be sent out, it will be sent. You can also choose when the drip automation will be activated and what messages can be sent out.
