FAQ: How to set up a number to receive calls?

Answer:

Important notice: Setting up a phone number for receiving calls is only possible by first setting up the 'Call Flow.'

To set up your phone number and start receiving calls, follow these steps:

Set up the Call Flow

Call flow - is how you want the calls to be forwarded when a new call comes in.

This is an example of the ‘Call Flow’ setup:

It explains the following:

  1. ‘Incoming Call Recording’ - the incoming call is recorded when the toggle is on.

  2. ‘Caller ID’ will display the caller’s number when the toggle is on.

  3. ‘Schedule’ - is set ‘all day’

  4. ‘Single Forward’ is set to REsimpli In App answering for ‘Incoming Call Action # 1’, and the ‘Forward Number # 1’ is set to the ‘Owner.’ You can add other options on ‘Forward Types’, such as ‘Simultaneous Calling.’

  5. Save the call flow.

Once the call flow has been set up, the system will follow the call flow set up to receive calls. You can then buy a phone number to receive calls. Follow the steps below in buying phone number.

Buying Numbers

The steps below will guide you on how to buy a phone number:

  1. Navigate to your profile in the upper right section and click 'Manage Numbers.'

2. Click 'Buy Numbers' in the top-right section. A new window will open.

3. Tick among the choices where you will use the number and select the area code. After choosing the area code, it will display the different number combinations you can choose from.

4. Select your preferred number and hit 'Continue.'

5. Fill out the field in the 'Phone Number Confirmation' window, here are the guides:

a. 'You will use this number for' - Select from the dropdown list.

b. ‘Campaign Name' - name the campaign.

c. 'Lead Source' - select from the dropdown list.

d. 'Flow Name' - Select the call flow from your existing ones to route calls. This is the section where the system requires you to set up a call flow.

e. 'Which market is this campaign for?' - click the dropdown arrow to select. If you are in multiple markets, select where you want your campaign to be associated with.

f. 'Lead Assignment' - How do you want your leads to be assigned? Select from the dropdown list.

e. 'Role Assignment' - Whom do you want the lead to assign? Turn the toggle on to select. After switching the toggle on, you can select an individual.

6. Check the 'Summary' details and select the box to take responsibility for testing the number.

7. Hit 'Confirm.' After confirmation, you can track the performance of your campaign using the phone number assigned to it.
