How to Use Your Inbox in REsimpli

Written by Anthony Estrada

Overview

The Inbox is where all your communication lands — messages and calls with sellers, buyers, agents and vendors, chat with your own team, and conversations with prospects in List Stacking.

It is split into three tabs, one for each of those.

Steps

Step 1: Open the Inbox

Hover over the left side panel and click Inbox.

Step 2: Understand the three tabs

Tab

What it holds

External

Communication, tasks, and appointments for your sellers, buyers, vendors, and agents.

Internal

Chat with your own team — private messages and group chats.

List Stacking

Communication with prospects in the List Stacking module.

The External Tab

Step 3: Read your overview

At the top you will see the figures that tell you what needs attention:

  • Abandoned leads

  • Leads with open communication

  • Appointments scheduled

  • Tasks assigned

Step 4: Tell contacts apart

Each conversation is marked with a letter showing the contact type:

Icon

Contact type

S

Seller

B

Buyer

A

Agent

V

Vendor

Click into a conversation and you will also see the contact type on the record itself.

Step 5: Filter by contact type

To show only one kind of contact:

  1. Click Add a Filter.

  2. Under Add Parameters, select Contact Type.

  3. Select Seller, Buyer, Agent, or Vendor.

Your inbox now shows only those conversations.

To go back, click the button to remove the filter and all your conversations return.

This is how you separate seller conversations from dispo conversations.

Step 6: Filter by activity status

You can also filter by status to show only conversations that are:

  • Read

  • Unread

  • Flagged

  • Archived

The Internal Tab

Step 7: Chat with your team

The Internal tab holds your conversations with team members.

Step 8: Start a conversation

  1. Click the new chat button.

  2. Click Add New.

  3. Choose a specific team member for a one-to-one, or select several people to create a group chat.

Step 9: Manage a conversation

You can mark a conversation as unread to come back to it, or archive it to clear it out of view.

The List Stacking Tab

Step 10: See prospect communication

The List Stacking tab shows all your communication with prospects in the List Stacking module, separate from your leads and contacts.

Important Notes

  • The three tabs keep different conversations apart. External is your market, Internal is your team, List Stacking is your prospecting.

  • The letter icons — S, B, A, V — tell you who you are talking to without opening the conversation.

  • Filtering by contact type is how you separate seller and buyer communication, which otherwise sit together in the same list.

  • Marking as unread is useful as a to-do marker when you have read something but cannot deal with it yet.

  • The figures at the top of the External tab — abandoned leads, open communication, appointments, tasks — are a quick read on what is being neglected.

Troubleshooting

You cannot find a conversation

  • Check which tab you are in. Team chat is under Internal, and prospect communication is under List Stacking, not External.

Your inbox is cluttered

  • Filter by contact type, or by activity status to hide anything already read or archived.

You are not sure who a conversation is with

  • Look at the letter icon — S for seller, B for buyer, A for agent, V for vendor.

You want to come back to a message later

  • Mark it as unread.

You want to start a group conversation with your team

  • Go to Internal, click the new chat button, then Add New, and select more than one team member.

Summary

You opened your Inbox from the left side panel and found three tabs: External for sellers, buyers, agents and vendors, Internal for your team, and List Stacking for prospects. You read the overview figures, used the S, B, A and V icons to tell contacts apart, filtered by contact type and activity status, and started one-to-one and group chats with your team.
