How to Track Dialer Conversations in REsimpli

Written by Anthony Estrada

Overview

Conversations is the metric on the Dialer Productivity Report that comes closest to measuring real contact with sellers.

A call is counted as a conversation when it lasts 60 seconds or more and involves a live person. Both conditions have to be met.

Steps

Step 1: Open your dashboard

From the left panel, go to Dashboard.

Step 2: Open Performance Reports

Under Performance Reports, click Dialer Productivity Report.

Step 3: Find Conversations

The report shows Total Attempts, Dialer Cycles, Conversations, and other figures.

Conversations counts calls of 60 seconds or more with a live person.

Step 4: Filter by time period

Click Add Filter to change the period — last seven days, this week, last week, last year, or a custom range.

Important Notes

  • This is the most meaningful of the three dialer figures. Attempts count every line dialled; connects include answering machines; conversations require a live person and real duration.

  • The 60-second threshold measures length, not quality. A crisp call where the seller says no in forty seconds is a real conversation and will not be counted. A rambling call that goes nowhere for two minutes will be.

  • Use the three figures together. Attempts show effort, connects show reach, conversations show contact. Any one of them alone will mislead you.

  • A healthy gap between connects and conversations is normal. A very large gap means most calls are hitting voicemail or ending immediately.

  • Check the date range before drawing conclusions. The report opens on a default period.

  • Judge callers on conversations rather than attempts, but do not treat the number as a target in itself — it can be gamed simply by staying on the phone longer.

Troubleshooting

Your conversations number is much lower than your connects

  • That is expected. Connects include answering machines and very short calls; conversations require 60 seconds with a live person.

A call you know was a real conversation is not counted

  • It was probably under 60 seconds. Short, decisive calls do not meet the threshold.

Your conversation numbers are very low across the team

  • Check the connect rate first. If connects are also low, look at the phone number's spam status rather than at the callers.

Two callers have similar attempts but very different conversations

  • That gap is worth investigating — it usually reflects the list, the script, or the time of day being called.

You want one agent's figures

  • The report covers all agents by default. Narrow it to the person you want.

You want a specific period

  • Click Add Filter and choose a preset or a custom range.
