How to See Which Phone Numbers Were Used on a Call or Text in REsimpli

Check which of the seller's numbers a call or text came from, and which of your numbers was used, from the lead's activity.

Written by Anthony Estrada

Overview

A seller can have several phone numbers, and you can have several of your own. On any call or text in a lead's activity, you can check exactly which numbers were involved on both sides.

Steps

On the web

Hover over the call or SMS activity in the lead. The phone numbers are displayed there.

On the mobile app

Tap the info icon on the SMS to see the To and From numbers, the same way the web shows them.

What you can see

Activity

What it tells you

Incoming text

Which of the seller's numbers it came from

Incoming call

Which of the seller's numbers it came from

Outgoing call

Which number you called

Outgoing text

Which of the seller's numbers you texted

Important Notes

  • A seller with several numbers is the reason this matters. Knowing which number they actually answer on, and which one they text from, is what stops follow-up going to a dead line.

  • It also shows which of your numbers was used. Useful when you run several REsimpli numbers and want to know which one a seller has been seeing.

  • Check the number before you assume a lead has gone quiet. A seller may be replying on a different number than the one you are watching.

Troubleshooting

You cannot see the numbers on the activity

  • On the web, hover over the call or SMS activity rather than clicking it. On the app, tap the info icon.

A seller seems unresponsive

  • Check which of their numbers your outgoing messages went to. If you have been calling a number they never use, their replies may be sitting against a different one.

Summary

Hover over any call or SMS activity on a lead to see the phone numbers involved — which of the seller's numbers an incoming text or call came from, and which number an outgoing call went to. On the mobile app, tap the info icon on the SMS instead.
