Overview
On Thursday, September 17, 2026, Sharad Mehta and Tyler Scott hosted the noon office hours call, walking through a large batch of dashboard and app updates shipped that morning and previewing features coming over the next few days.
The dashboard now shows past-due tasks in a clickable list, today's appointments and next seven days only, and an "open leads needing attention" counter that clears when any follow-up action is taken (call, text, email, note, status change, or manual close).
iOS and Android apps updated with clickable home screen tasks and appointments, caller ID showing seller name and property address, and calling from the dispo tab.
The incoming call screen now displays the phone number, a clickable property address linking to the lead, and any associated list stacking records.
Variable fields have been migrated from 5.0 to 6.0 for SMS and email templates; the migration for automation and task templates ships Friday, September 18.
Single-line dialer records are now clickable across leads, buyers, agents, vendors, and list stacking, and the dialer follows the filtered sort order.
Smart routing (caller ID persistence across the system) is the number one requested feature and is expected over the weekend or Monday, September 21.
All automation tasks will be created upfront at assignment time rather than only when due, shipping Friday, September 18.
The bulk automation limit is increasing from 100 to 250 per day in one to two weeks; trigger-based automations remain uncapped.
The list stacking inbox will stop duplicating notifications for records that also exist in leads.
IVR (press-one screening) may cause Twilio to classify missed calls as answered, which breaks the missed-call branch in newly created lead automations.
Creating leads without a phone number is being explored for Facebook leads that arrive with only a name; the team is working on what the unique identifier will be.
The call closed with a reminder about the evening session at 6:00 PM Eastern.
00:03:35 Dashboard updates: open leads counter, past-due task list, and team member view switching
Sharad walked through the refreshed dashboard. Past-due and current-day tasks now appear in a clickable list that can be worked sequentially, marked complete, or sent to the dialer. The appointments section now shows only today and the next seven days instead of all upcoming appointments. The most important new metric is the open leads counter, which flags newly created leads or existing leads that received a new call or SMS but have no follow-up action yet. Any of six actions clears a lead from this list: calling, texting, emailing, adding a note, changing the lead status, or manually closing the loop (00:04:24). Sharad recommended zeroing out both the open leads and task counters daily. Team members can now switch to another person's dashboard by clicking their name at the top, though a bug was noted where clicking into the detail view redirects back to your own account (01:35:01).
00:06:28 iOS and Android app updates: caller ID fix, clickable tasks, and dispo tab calling
The app update shipped that morning restores caller ID to match the previous version, displaying the seller name and property address on incoming calls. If neither is available, it falls back to the campaign number. Home screen tasks and appointments are now clickable on the app, and calls can be placed directly from the dispo tab. Sharad noted that the notification bell icon for in-app tagging and the web-to-app preference sync for notes vs. SMS default are coming in the next app update (00:17:43).
00:09:27 Incoming call screen, note UI, and single-line dialer now show full lead context
The incoming call screen on the web now shows the caller's phone number, a clickable link to the property address in leads, and any associated list stacking records. The note section UI has been redesigned to be visually distinct from text messages, which users had reported as confusing. Single-line dialer records are now clickable across all record types, so users can view full lead, buyer, agent, vendor, or list stacking detail while on a call. The dialer also now follows the filtered sort order instead of reverting to a default sequence (00:11:53).
00:11:04 Variable field migration from 5.0 to 6.0 is complete for SMS and email templates
The 5.0 variable fields (like "first name") have been automatically migrated to match the new 6.0 field names (like "seller first name") across all SMS and email templates. Users do not need to update those manually. The migration for automation steps and task templates ships Friday, September 18. Phone type is also now editable on contacts, and the open batch time display issue has been fixed.
00:14:00 Smart routing, automation tasks at trigger time, and bulk limit increase are shipping soon
Sharad confirmed that the caller ID persistence feature, where the number you choose stays as your default across the system, is the most requested update and will ship over the weekend or Monday, September 21. All automation tasks will be created upfront when a lead is assigned to an automation, rather than one at a time on their due date, shipping Friday, September 18 (00:15:27). The manual bulk automation limit is increasing from 100 to 250 per day over the next one to two weeks; trigger-based automations for new leads, status changes, and tags remain uncapped. An inbox unread filter is also coming, and the SMS template will remember the user's last selection.
00:34:04 IVR press-one screening may cause missed-call automation branches to route incorrectly
A user building separate automation paths for answered calls, missed calls, and incoming texts found that every test call routed through the answered-call branch even when no one picked up. Sharad suspected the IVR (press-one spam screening) is being registered by Twilio as an answered call, which prevents the missed-call branch from ever firing. He recommended duplicating the automation without IVR to test whether that resolves the routing. The team will check Twilio's call logs to confirm how IVR interactions are classified (00:35:00).
01:31:58 Abandoned leads are only visible to users assigned as owner on those leads
A user reported seeing only two or three leads in the abandoned leads view despite having many more in the system. After assigning himself to all leads that morning, the full list appeared. Sharad explained that each user's dashboard only shows leads they are assigned to, so if the owner role is distributed via round robin, some leads will not appear on the account owner's dashboard. He recommended keeping the owner role exclusively for yourself and using other roles (lead manager, acquisition manager) for team distribution (01:33:06).
01:34:04 SMS translate button, automation sending to all contacts, and checklist sub-tasks not appearing
A user noted the translate button that existed in 5.0 for quickly translating Spanish-language SMS replies is no longer present. Sharad confirmed it will return. Another user reported that automation-triggered SMS is sending to every phone number on a lead rather than just the primary contact, which makes them hesitant to activate drip campaigns. The team acknowledged both issues. A separate bug was reported where checklist sub-tasks assigned to a team member do not appear in that person's task list, even after the parent task is completed (01:36:02).
03:47:34 Multi-state operations can route leads to state-specific campaigns through Zapier for per-state outbound numbers
A user operating in approximately ten states asked how to ensure AI calls and texts go out from a local number matching each state rather than a single default. Sharad and Tyler explained the workaround: create a separate marketing campaign for each state in REsimpli, assign a local phone number to each campaign, then use Zapier to route incoming leads to the correct campaign based on the lead's state. The automation attached to those campaigns will then use the campaign's phone number for all outbound communication. A state-level if/else condition does not currently exist in the automation builder, so Zapier-level routing is the recommended path for now (03:48:01). Sharad said the team would explore adding a state-based condition natively.
