6.0 Office Hours - Sep 25 - 12 PM ET

Written by Tazoar Ahsan

Overview

On Friday, September 25, 2026, Tyler Scott hosted the noon office hours call, with Sharad Mehta joining partway through, covering buyer disposition workflows, lead assignment setup, conversational AI behavior, and the upcoming weekly schedule.

  • Tyler demonstrated how to set up a buyer qualification pipeline using web forms, bulk CSV imports, and custom grid statuses so a VA can cold-call potential buyers within REsimpli.

  • Multiple users discovered they had no lead assignment automation configured, which explained missing notifications and invisible new leads; Tyler set up automations live in their accounts.

  • Smart Routing was enabled for a user whose acquisition manager's outbound number kept changing mid-conversation.

  • Conversational AI responds only when a seller texts in and does not re-engage if the seller goes silent; the upcoming Autonomous product will handle automatic follow-up.

  • AI appointment booking follows a tiered lookup: acquisition manager availability first, then lead manager, then owner. An update will add the option to choose who appointments book for and toggle between casual and formal tone.

  • The bulk automation activation limit is 100 per day for manual assignments, with no cap on trigger-based activations like new leads, status changes, or tags. The cap will increase to 250 soon.

The call closed with the next week's schedule: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday office hours at 1:00 PM Pacific, a Tuesday webinar on basic 6.0 account setup, and a Thursday webinar on Open API with a power-user guest.

00:03:24 Buyer disposition workflows can be built with web forms, bulk imports, and custom grid statuses

Tyler walked through how to set up a buyer qualification pipeline for a team member whose only role is cold-calling potential cash buyers scraped from public records. In 6.0, multiple buyer web forms can be created, each auto-assigning new entries to a specific person and campaign. The VA sees only the buyers assigned to them if the account owner toggles "Assigned Only" in their permissions and turns off lead access entirely.

For bulk imports, buyers come in via CSV with assignment handled in the fourth step of the upload wizard. Tyler recommended staging unqualified contacts in a "New Buyer" column and moving them to "Qualified" or "Not a Fit" after each call. The process can also be automated via Open API if the team is working from a shared Google Sheet.

00:28:58 Missing lead assignment is the root cause of missing notifications for several users

Tyler discovered that multiple accounts on the call had no lead assignment automation set up, meaning new leads defaulted to the account owner and other team members received no notifications. He logged into two users' accounts live and configured the New Lead Created automation to assign all campaigns to the correct team members (00:32:00).

For existing leads, Tyler demonstrated the bulk assignment flow: select all leads in list view, go to Actions, Assign Team Member, and apply the correct role. He stressed that lead assignment affects not just notifications but also call flow routing and dashboard visibility across the system.

00:48:30 Conversational AI does not re-engage silent sellers, but Autonomous will

Tyler explained that the conversational AI only activates when a seller texts in; it does not proactively follow up if the conversation stalls. If the AI responds and the seller goes quiet, the team must either reapply an automation or manually reach out. A suggested workaround is building a filter for leads where the last outgoing touch is newer than the last incoming touch, which surfaces conversations going cold (00:51:21).

The upcoming Autonomous product will handle this automatically, continuing to follow up without manual resets. AI appointment booking currently checks the acquisition manager's calendar first, then falls back to lead manager and then owner. A near-term update will let users specify who appointments get booked for and choose between a casual or formal conversational tone (00:49:00).

00:52:00 Smart Routing fixes the outbound number switching mid-conversation

A user reported that his acquisition manager's outbound phone number was changing while actively communicating with leads, causing undelivered texts and confusion. Tyler navigated to Settings > Communication & Marketing > My Communication Number and switched the account from the initial single-number default to Smart Routing, which prioritizes the campaign number, then the number the seller last responded on, then the user's last dialed number, then the fallback.

Tyler also re-explained the fallback number: it only applies when a campaign has no phone number attached, which is now possible in 6.0 but was not allowed in the previous version. If every campaign already has a number assigned, the fallback is never used.

01:38:55 The bulk automation limit is 100 per day for manual activations, with no cap on trigger-based ones

Sharad clarified that the 100-per-day automation cap applies only to manual bulk activations from the lead list. Automations triggered by a new lead being created, a status change, or a tag being added have no daily limit. A user who manually activates 100 automations and then receives 200 new leads will see all 200 process normally. The cap will increase to 250 soon, once the team is confident users are comfortable with the automation engine.
