6.0 Office Hours - Sep 30 - 6 PM ET

Written by Tazoar Ahsan

Overview

On September 30, 2026, Sharad Mehta and Tyler Scott hosted a Wednesday office hours call covering several platform updates shipped that day and fielding user questions on AI, automations, and SMS behavior.

  • The dashboard task view now shows only items due as of today, displays appointments above tasks, and supports bulk actions like marking completed or changing assignees.

  • SMS merge fields no longer output "unknown" when a seller's first name is missing; the system now defaults to "Hi there."

  • Tyler ran a live voice AI demo on the call, and both hosts previewed the upcoming Autonomous product with full KPI reporting and an action queue.

  • Caller ID registration via CNAM is available through REsimpli's Twilio contact, and the default outbound SMS limit of 2,500 per day can be increased for a fee.

  • Automation stop notifications were firing on every inbound call or text regardless of drip status; the fix is a simple notification toggle that does not affect the underlying auto-stop behavior.

  • New API endpoints for KPI dashboards and call transcripts are planned, and a power-user webinar on October 1 will showcase a Claude-plus-Slack command center built on the REsimpli Open API.

The call closed with a reminder about the October 1 webinar at 1:00 PM Pacific and the next office hours session on Friday, October 2.

00:03:52 The dashboard task view now separates appointments from tasks and supports bulk actions

Sharad walked through updates shipped that day to the home dashboard. The task counter now excludes future tasks and only reflects items due as of the current day, with a tooltip clarifying the distinction. Appointments appear in their own section above the task list, and each task row shows the address, contact name, assignee, priority, and type.

Users can mark tasks completed inline, push due dates, or take bulk actions across all selected items. Automation tasks now get created at the moment the automation is activated rather than appearing only when they come due (00:07:22). Notifications were also updated: an unread-only filter was added, and users can reply via text, initiate a call, or react to a mention directly from the notification panel (00:06:17).

00:09:33 SMS merge fields default to "Hi there" when the seller name is missing

A fix deployed over the weekend changed the behavior of the @firstname merge field so that blank names no longer produce "Hi unknown" in outbound texts. The system now substitutes "Hi there" when no first name exists (00:10:44).

A related spacing bug that inserted an extra indent before merge fields in drip SMS was also discussed. One user showed an example from the previous day where the acquisitions manager name had a random indent prepended (00:47:18). Sharad said the spacing issue is known and being fixed. SMS scheduling remains locked to the 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM window, with the team still evaluating whether to offer configurable hours without creating A2P compliance risk.

00:28:01 A live voice AI call demonstrates the updated model, and Autonomous reporting is previewed

Tyler set up a live demo by routing a campaign number straight to the AI agent. A user on the call role-played as a seller, and the AI, identified as "Cathy with 504 Home Buyers," asked for the property address, condition, timeline, asking price, and mortgage status in a natural conversational flow. Tyler noted the voice model was updated two weeks before the 6.0 launch.

On the reporting side, basic AI call data is available now through communication logs, but full KPI reporting will arrive with Autonomous (00:51:43). That includes total dials, speed to lead, appointments set, and human handoffs. AI will also appear as a team member in the lead manager dashboard and leaderboard. Autonomous will feature an action queue showing what the AI is about to do, with the ability to pause or take over before it acts (00:54:13).

00:25:00 Caller ID registration and outbound SMS limits can be adjusted through Twilio

Sharad directed users to Jewel, the team's Twilio liaison, for CNAM registration and branded call setup. CNAM is free; branded calls carry an additional cost.

The default outbound SMS limit is 2,500 messages per day under A2P 10DLC, and it applies across the entire brand regardless of whether messages are manual, drip, or AI-initiated. Users who hit the cap can request an increase through Twilio for roughly $50, with processing taking three to four days. A knowledge base article documenting the exact limits is in progress.

01:09:02 Automation stop notifications fire on every inbound contact, but the toggle is separate from the behavior

A user reported receiving auto-stop notifications every time any lead called or texted, even leads not on a drip. Sharad pulled up the user's account live and clarified that the activity trigger was correctly stopping automations on inbound contact but was also generating a notification for every instance.

The automation stop notification is a personal toggle that can be turned off without affecting the underlying stop behavior (01:12:39). Sharad disabled it on the spot and removed the extra note-creation steps from the trigger so the user would only receive standard incoming call and SMS notifications going forward.

01:32:17 Tomorrow's webinar will showcase a power user's Claude and Slack command center built on the Open API

Sharad previewed the October 1 webinar featuring an investor who scaled from solo operator to a 15-person team in 13 months. The guest pulls data from REsimpli's Open API into Claude, where he has built a command center integrated with Slack. When a team member fails to contact a lead within a set window, a Slack notification fires automatically. Planned API additions include endpoints for KPI dashboards, so users can build custom reporting outside REsimpli, and endpoints for call transcripts, enabling custom call grading systems (01:34:00). A future update will also allow writing data back into REsimpli through the API, which is currently read-only. Sharad said the guest would return in about a month to show how his setup evolved once the new endpoints go live.
