How to link your Call Answer AI with a phone number

Step 1: Create an AI Agent

Before linking a phone number, first create a Call Answer AI agent in the AI Agent section.

Step 2: Open Phone Number Settings

Navigate to:

Settings β†’ Phone Numbers

Step 3: Add a New Phone Number

Click Add Number.

Step 4: Select Voice AI Phone Number

Choose:

REsimpli Voice AI Phone Number

Step 5: Select an Area Code

Choose any available area code.

Note: This number is used for backend call routing purposes only and is not intended for marketing campaigns.

Step 6: Understand the AI Call Routing Process

The AI phone number works similarly to an answering service setup.

Inbound calls are:

  1. Forwarded to the AI phone number

  2. Routed to the assigned AI assistant

Step 7: Assign the AI Agent

Open the newly added phone number and select the AI agent you want linked to the number.

Step 8: Save the Phone Number Configuration

Save the phone number and AI assignment settings.

Step 9: Configure Call Forwarding

Use this AI phone number in your call flow or call forwarding setup for inbound calls.
