Overview
REsimpli gives you two ways to send text messages. A one-off SMS goes to one person. An SMS campaign, also called an SMS blast, goes to a group of people at once.
You would send a one-off SMS to reply to a single lead. You would send an SMS campaign when you want the same message to reach many leads at the same time.
Steps
Sending a One-Off SMS
Step 1: Open the lead
Go to your pipeline and open the lead you want to text.
Step 2: Open the SMS window
Find the lead's phone number on the left side of the screen.
Hover your mouse over the phone number. A row of icons will appear.
Click the SMS icon. It is the fourth icon in the row.
The SMS window will open.
Step 3: Check the basic details
Confirm two things:
The number you are sending the message from.
The lead's phone number you are sending the message to.
Step 4: Write your message
You have two choices:
Type your message by hand.
Choose an SMS template you saved earlier.
Step 5: Schedule your message (optional)
If you want the message to go out later:
Turn on the scheduling option.
Choose the date.
Choose the time.
Choose the time zone.
Your message will be sent at that time. Skip this step if you want to send it now.
Step 6: Send your message
Send the message when you are ready.
Sending an SMS Campaign
Step 7: Open the group of leads you want to text
Go to the pipeline or list that holds the people you want to reach.
You can send an SMS campaign to any type of lead, including:
All Leads
Sellers
Buyers
Agents
Vendors
Properties
Contacts
Step 8: Switch to List View
Click List View.
You must be in list view to send an SMS campaign.
Step 9: Choose who gets the message
If you have a smart filter for the people you are targeting, turn it on.
Select the leads you want. You can select them one by one, or choose Select All.
Once you have made your selection, the Actions drop-down will appear.
Step 10: Start the campaign
Click Actions.
Click Send an SMS.
This is the only way to open the SMS campaign section.
Step 11: Name your campaign
Type a name for your campaign.
Click Continue.
Step 12: Check the basic details
Confirm the details of your campaign:
The number you are sending from.
The contacts you are sending to. This will be the leads you selected.
Your message. Choose an SMS template, or type your message by hand.
Step 13: Send your campaign
Click Send SMS.
Your message will go out to everyone you selected.
Important Notes
A one-off SMS can be scheduled for a later date and time. An SMS campaign cannot. Campaigns are sent right away.
The SMS icon is the fourth icon that appears when you hover over a lead's phone number.
You must be in List View to send an SMS campaign.
Actions then Send an SMS is the only way to reach the SMS campaign section.
Always check which number you are sending from and which number you are sending to before you send.
SMS campaigns work with all lead types, including sellers, buyers, agents, vendors, and properties.
Troubleshooting
The icons do not appear next to the phone number
Hover your mouse over the lead's phone number on the left side of the screen. The icons will then show.
The Actions drop-down does not appear
You may not have selected any leads yet. Select the leads you want, and the drop-down will appear.
You cannot find the SMS campaign section
Switch to List View, select your leads, then click Actions and Send an SMS. There is no other way to open it.
You cannot schedule your SMS campaign
Scheduling is only available for a one-off SMS. Send the campaign when you are ready for it to go out.
Summary
You sent a text message two ways. For a one-off SMS, you opened a lead, hovered over the phone number, clicked the SMS icon, checked the details, wrote your message, and either sent it or scheduled it. For an SMS campaign, you switched to list view, selected your leads, opened Actions and clicked Send an SMS, named the campaign, checked the details, and sent it to everyone at once.
