Overview
SMS Assist writes a text message for you. You open a lead, ask it to draft a message, and it produces one in a few seconds.
Nothing is sent automatically. You read the message first, change it if you want, and send it yourself.
Steps
Step 1: Open the lead
Go to the lead profile of the person you want to text.
Step 2: Start a message
Click the SMS button.
Step 3: Create your message
Click Create with SMS Assist.
It will take a few seconds to write your message.
Step 4: Read and edit
Read what it has written.
You can change the wording before you send it, or leave it as it is.
Step 5: Send
Send the message when you are happy with it.
Important Notes
SMS Assist drafts a message. It does not send anything on its own.
Always read the message before sending. You are still the one deciding whether it goes out.
You can edit the draft as much as you like before sending.
It takes a few seconds to generate. Give it a moment before assuming nothing has happened.
Troubleshooting
Nothing appears after clicking Create with SMS Assist
Give it a few seconds. The message takes a moment to generate.
The message does not sound how you want
Edit it before sending. The draft is a starting point, not a final message.
Your message was not sent
SMS Assist only writes the message. You still need to send it yourself.
Summary
You used SMS Assist to draft a text. You opened the lead, clicked the SMS button, and chose Create with SMS Assist. After a few seconds you had a draft, which you read, adjusted, and sent yourself.
