How to Set Up Default Folders in REsimpli

Written by Anthony Estrada

Overview

Default folders are created automatically on every new record, so your documents and photos always have somewhere consistent to go.

You set them up once, and REsimpli adds them to each new lead as it arrives.

Before You Start

Default folders are only added to new records. Records already in your account will not get them.

If you want these folders on existing leads, you will need to add them to those records yourself.

Steps

Step 1: Open your customizations

  1. Click Settings in the bottom-left corner of your screen.

  2. Click Customizations.

  3. Click Default Folders.

Step 2: Choose where the folders apply

Decide which type of record you want the folders on. You can set them up for:

  • Leads

  • Buyers

  • Agents

  • Vendors

  • List Stacking

Step 3: Create your folder

Add your folder and give it a name.

The video creates a folder called Property Photos.

Repeat this for any other folders you want on every new record.

Step 4: Let it run

From now on, whenever a new lead is created or pushed into your account, your default folders are added to it automatically.

Important Notes

  • Default folders only apply to new records. Existing leads are not updated.

  • Set your folders up before a big import, so the incoming records get them.

  • Each record type has its own default folders. Setting them up for leads does not add them to buyers or vendors.

  • Folders are added automatically. There is nothing to do on each new lead.

Troubleshooting

Your existing leads do not have the folders

  • Default folders only apply to records created afterwards. Existing leads need the folders added manually.

Your new buyers or vendors do not have folders

  • Default folders are set per record type. Set them up separately for buyers, agents, vendors, or list stacking.

Your folders did not appear on a new lead

  • Check that the folder was created under the right record type in Default Folders.

Summary

You set up default folders. You opened Settings, Customizations, and Default Folders, chose whether the folders applied to leads, buyers, agents, vendors, or list stacking, and created your folder. Every new record from that point on gets those folders automatically.
