Overview
A filter narrows a long list down to just the records you care about. You can save a filter so you can reuse it later with one click, instead of setting it up again.
Filters work the same way across REsimpli. You can use them on your leads, your list stacking records, and your contacts, including agents, buyers, sellers, vendors, and companies.
Steps
Step 1: Open your list
Go to the list you want to filter. The video uses the Leads pipeline.
Step 2: Start a new filter
Click Add a Filter.
Step 3: Choose what to filter by
Under Group 1, add the things you want to filter on. You can search for them, or scroll down the list to find them.
The video builds a filter for leads created this week that have a property address:
Property Address is set to Is Available
Lead Created Date is set to This Week
Add as many conditions as you need, then click Continue.
Step 4: Decide whether to save it
You now have two choices:
Apply without saving — use the filter once. It disappears when you clear it.
Save as a template — keep the filter so you can use it again later.
Using a Filter Without Saving It
Step 5: Apply your filter
Choose to apply the filter without saving.
Your results appear as a list, and you will see Filter Applied in the top-left corner.
Step 6: Change your filter
If your results are not what you expected, click the words Filter Applied.
You can then change your conditions. For example, the video changes This Week to This Month because no leads were created that week.
Click Continue when you are done.
Saving a Filter as a Template
Step 7: Name and describe your filter
Enter a filter name. The video uses This Month's Leads.
Enter a description.
You need both. The filter will not save without a name and a description.
Step 8: Choose who can use it
Look at the Access and Save Location section.
To share the filter with your team, click Manage and give them access.
To keep it for yourself, leave it as it is.
If you already have folders, you can also choose which folder to save it in.
Step 9: Save
Click Save and Apply.
Your filter name will now appear at the top, and your matching records will be listed below.
Using Your Saved Filters
Step 10: Apply a saved filter
Click the name of any saved filter template. It will be applied straight away.
Step 11: Clear a filter
Click the small X button next to the filter name.
Your full list will come back.
Step 12: Manage a saved filter
Click the three dots next to a saved filter. You can:
Run the filter
View the filter
Duplicate the filter
Edit the filter
Delete the filter
Step 13: Organize filters into folders
Click Manage Filter in the upper-right corner.
Create a folder.
Select the folder you want your filter to go in.
Click Move Filters.
Your filter now sits inside that folder. Click its name any time to apply it.
Important Notes
Filters work the same way everywhere in REsimpli: leads, list stacking, and contacts such as agents, buyers, sellers, vendors, and companies.
A filter needs both a name and a description before it can be saved.
Applying a filter without saving is fine for a one-off. Save it as a template if you will need it again.
Filters can be personal or shared. Use Manage under Access and Save Location to give your team access.
Clearing a filter with the X does not delete it. Your saved template stays where it is.
Empty results usually mean your conditions are too narrow, not that something is broken.
Troubleshooting
Your filter returns no records
Your conditions may be too narrow. Click Filter Applied and adjust them. For example, widen a date range from this week to this month.
Your filter will not save
You may be missing the description. Both a name and a description are required.
Your team cannot see your filter
It may be saved as a personal filter. Open the filter and use Manage under Access and Save Location to share it.
You cannot find a saved filter
It may be inside a folder. Check your folders, or use Manage Filter in the upper-right corner.
You want your full list back
Click the small X next to the filter name. This clears the filter without deleting it.
Summary
You created a custom filter. You opened your list, clicked Add a Filter, and chose your conditions. You applied it without saving to check the results, adjusted the conditions, then saved it as a template with a name, a description, and access settings. You can now apply it with one click, manage it from the three dots menu, and keep it tidy inside a folder.
