Overview
Lead statuses show where each lead is in your sales pipeline. You can rename them, add your own, reorder them, and remove ones you do not use.
You can also move leads from one status to another, either one at a time or in bulk.
Steps
Part 1: Customize Your Statuses
Step 1: Open your pipeline
Select the pipeline you want to work with.
Every pipeline starts with two statuses: New Lead and Under Contract.
Step 2: Switch to Grid view
Change your view to Grid.
You will not see the options to customize your statuses in any other view.
Step 3: Rename a status
Click the three dots next to the status name.
Click Change Title.
Enter the new name.
Click Update.
Step 4: Add a new status
Click the three dots.
Click Add Status.
Enter the status name.
Click Add Status.
New statuses are always placed just before the Under Contract status.
Step 5: Reorder your statuses
Click the three dots.
Click Move Status.
Put your statuses in the order you want.
Click Update Status.
You can also edit and delete status names from this page.
Step 6: Delete a status
Click the three dots.
Click Delete Status.
If any leads are sitting in that status, REsimpli will ask where to move them before it deletes it.
Part 2: Change the Status of Your Leads
There are three ways to do this. Pick whichever suits what you are doing.
Option 1: Drag and drop
Click a lead and drag it onto the status you want it in.
Option 2: Change it inside the lead
Open the lead.
Click its current status.
Select the new status.
Click Change Status.
Option 3: Change many leads at once
This is useful after importing leads from another CRM, or any time several leads need to move to the same status.
Switch to List view.
Narrow down your leads. Click Add Filter and build a filter, or apply one you have already saved.
Click the Selected button, then click Select All.
Click Actions, then click Change Status.
Select the status you want the leads moved to.
Click Change Status.
Important Notes
Under Contract cannot be renamed or removed. It is a fixed status in every pipeline. New Lead can be renamed.
You must be in Grid view to customize statuses. The options do not appear in other views.
You must be in List view to change the status of many leads at once.
Deleting a status cannot be undone. Be sure before you confirm.
If leads are sitting in a status you delete, REsimpli asks where to move them first, so no leads are lost.
New statuses always land just before Under Contract. Use Move Status if you want them somewhere else.
Troubleshooting
You cannot see the options to rename or add a status
You are probably not in Grid view. Switch to grid and the three dots will appear next to each status.
You cannot rename or delete Under Contract
That status is fixed. It cannot be renamed or removed.
Your new status is in the wrong place
New statuses are always added just before Under Contract. Use the three dots and Move Status to put it where you want.
You deleted a status by mistake
Deleting cannot be undone. You will need to add the status again. Any leads that were in it were moved to the status you chose at the time.
You cannot change several leads at once
Switch to List view first. The Actions menu with Change Status is only available there.
Summary
You customized your lead statuses and moved leads between them. In grid view, you renamed a status, added a new one, reordered them, and deleted one you did not need. You then changed lead statuses three ways: by dragging a lead, by opening a lead and picking a new status, and by filtering in list view and using Actions to move many leads at once.
