Overview
Managing users and roles lets you give your team access to REsimpli while controlling what each person can see and do, based on their job.
This page is where you review your users, manage their access, and create or remove the roles you assign them.
Steps
Step 1: Open the page
Click Settings in the lower-left corner of your screen.
Click Manage Users and Roles.
You will see three tabs: Active, Deleted, and Roles.
Step 2: Review your active users
The Active tab lists everyone currently using your account. For each person you can see:
Their name
The role assigned to them
Their email address
Their phone number
From here you can manage a user's access, update their permissions, or delete them.
Step 3: Check your deleted users
The Deleted tab lists everyone who has been removed from your account, with the same details.
Step 4: Understand user types
When you add someone to your account, you choose their user type:
Sub-user — works inside your CRM
Driver — uses the Driving for Dollars feature only
Both — a person can be a sub-user and a driver at the same time
Sub-users are the ones you assign roles to.
Working with Roles
Step 5: Open the Roles tab
Click Roles to see every role available in your account.
Step 6: Add a role
Click Add Role in the upper-right corner.
Enter the role name.
Click Save Changes.
Your new role is now available to assign to sub-users.
Step 7: Delete a role
Hover your mouse over the date in the Added On column.
Click Delete, or the trash icon.
Step 8: Reassign before removing
You will be asked to move people to another role before the role can be removed. This happens whether or not anyone is currently assigned to it.
Click Select a Role.
Pick the role they should move to.
Click Remove Role.
The role is then deleted from your Roles tab.
Important Notes
The Acquisition Manager and Lead Manager roles cannot be deleted. They are tied to default KPIs and system settings.
You will always be prompted to reassign before removing a role, even when nobody is assigned to it.
A person can be both a sub-user and a driver. The two are not mutually exclusive.
Only sub-users are given roles. Drivers use the mobile Driving for Dollars feature instead.
Deleted users are not erased. They stay visible in the Deleted tab with their details.
Troubleshooting
You cannot delete a role
If it is Acquisition Manager or Lead Manager, it cannot be removed. Those roles are attached to default KPIs and system settings.
You are being asked to reassign users when nobody has that role
This prompt appears every time, regardless of whether anyone is assigned. Pick any role to continue.
The role you want is not in the list when assigning a user
Create it first. Open the Roles tab, click Add Role, name it, and save.
You cannot find a user
Check the Deleted tab. Removed users stay listed there.
Someone needs both CRM access and driving access
Set them up as both a sub-user and a driver. One person can be both.
Summary
You managed your users and roles. You opened Settings and Manage Users and Roles, and used the Active, Deleted, and Roles tabs to review your team. You created a new role with Add Role, and removed one you no longer needed by reassigning its users first and clicking Remove Role.
