How to Manage Your Profile Settings in REsimpli

Written by Anthony Estrada

Overview

Your profile settings hold your personal details, your notification preferences, and your account security.

This is where you update your name and time zone, turn on two-factor authentication, change your password, and sign yourself out of every device if something looks wrong.

Steps

Step 1: Open your profile

  1. Click your profile in the top-right corner of your screen.

  2. Click Go to Profile.

Step 2: Update your details

On this page you can change:

  • Your profile icon

  • Your first name and last name

  • Your phone number

  • Your email

  • Your time zone

Keep your time zone accurate — it affects when scheduled things happen for you.

Step 3: Set your notifications

Your notification preferences are on this page too, under Notifications.

Step 4: Turn on two-factor authentication

Open Security to set up two-factor authentication.

With it turned on, REsimpli asks for a code:

  • When you log in to your account

  • Before you send an email campaign

  • Before you send a bulk SMS

You can turn it on or off here.

Step 5: Change your password

You can update your password at any time from this page.

  1. Enter your old password.

  2. Enter your new password.

  3. Confirm your new password.

Your new password must meet the requirements shown on screen.

Step 6: Log out everywhere if something looks wrong

If you notice any suspicious activity on your account, use the option to log out everywhere.

This signs your account out of every device.

Important Notes

  • Two-factor authentication protects more than logging in. It also asks for a code before an email campaign or bulk SMS goes out, which prevents a large send happening without your say-so.

  • Change your password before, not after, dealing with suspicious activity — then log out everywhere so nobody stays signed in with the old one.

  • Your time zone lives here, and affects how times appear and behave for you.

  • Notifications and security both sit inside your profile, so you do not need to hunt through Settings for them.

Troubleshooting

You are being asked for a code before sending a campaign

  • That is two-factor authentication working as intended. It applies to email campaigns and bulk SMS as well as logins.

You want to stop being asked for a code

  • Two-factor authentication can be turned off under Security, though leaving it on is safer.

You think someone else has access to your account

  • Change your password, then use log out everywhere to sign out every device.

Your new password is being rejected

  • It must meet the requirements shown on the password screen.

Your times look wrong across the system

  • Check the time zone on your profile.

Summary

You managed your profile settings. You opened your profile from the top-right corner and chose Go to Profile, then updated your icon, name, phone number, email, and time zone. You set your notification preferences, turned on two-factor authentication for logins and large sends, changed your password, and used log out everywhere to secure your account.
