Overview
Other Triggers covers the lead events that do not fit the other automation types — a new seller appointment being booked, an offer amount being recorded, and similar.
You choose the condition, then build the sequence of things REsimpli should do when it happens.
Steps
Part 1: Build the Automation
Step 1: Open your other triggers
Go to Automations.
Click Leads.
Select Other Triggers.
You will see the triggers already set up and the option to add a new one.
Step 2: Name it
Enter an automation name. The video uses New Seller Appointment.
Step 3: Choose the condition
Select what should trigger the automation. Options include:
A new seller appointment being added
The last seller offer amount
Pick the one that matches what you want to react to.
Step 4: Set your timing
Choose day-based or delay-based. Delay-based gives you finer control, set in minutes, hours, days, or weeks.
Set your default time zone and click Save.
Step 5: Add an SMS step
To text the lead:
Add a Send SMS step and set when it runs — for example, a minute after the automation triggers.
Write the message, or select one of your templates.
Choose whether to skip this step on weekends and public holidays.
Select the recipient.
Choose the number the message sends from.
The weekend and holiday option is worth using for anything that would look odd arriving outside working hours.
Step 6: Add any other steps
You can also:
Set up a task
Add a tag
Mark the lead as hot
Mark the lead as qualified
Assign teammates
Notify team members
Step 7: Change the pipeline or status
An automation can move the lead itself — for example into Active Leads with the status Appointment Set.
When you do this, you also choose what happens to pending tasks from the old status:
Mark them as complete
Leave all pending tasks as pending
Step 8: Save
Click Save. Your automation will appear in the list.
Part 2: Test It
Step 9: Trigger the condition
For a new seller appointment automation:
Open a property.
Add an appointment.
Select Seller Appointment, choose the type of seller appointment, and select the assignee.
Step 10: Confirm it ran
Click the automation button on the property to see which automations are active. Yours should be listed.
Click into it to see the scheduled steps.
Part 3: Track It
Step 11: Check enrollment
Open the automation and go to Automation Enrollment.
You will see:
How many leads currently have the automation enabled
Every lead running it now
Leads that ran it in the past, and when it completed
For a completed run, you can open the history to see what happened.
Step 12: Check the logs
You can also review the automation activity and the update log.
Important Notes
Other Triggers is for lead events that are not a status change, a new lead, or a recorded activity — appointments and offer amounts, for example.
You can skip a step on weekends and public holidays. This is the only automation type where that has been shown, and it is useful for anything customer-facing.
Changing a status inside an automation lets you decide what happens to open tasks from the previous status — complete them, or leave them pending.
Automations can mark a lead as hot or qualified, so those flags do not have to be set by hand.
Automation Enrollment shows history as well as current runs, so you can check what a completed automation actually did.
Troubleshooting
Your automation did not trigger
Check the condition matches what happened. A seller appointment automation only fires when a seller appointment is added, not any appointment.
Your text arrived at an awkward time
Turn on the option to skip weekends and public holidays on that step.
Old tasks are hanging around after a status change
The status change step lets you complete pending tasks from the old status. Set that when building the automation.
You cannot tell whether an automation finished
Open Automation Enrollment. It lists leads that had the automation in the past and when it completed, with history available.
You are not sure whether a lead is enrolled
Click the automation button on the property to see what is currently active on that record.
Summary
You built an automation on another lead trigger. You opened Automations, Leads, and Other Triggers, named it, and chose a condition such as a new seller appointment. You set your timing, added an SMS that skips weekends and holidays, added tasks, tags, and team notifications, and moved the lead to a new pipeline and status while deciding what happened to its old pending tasks. You tested it by booking a seller appointment and tracked the results through Automation Enrollment.
