Overview
Other Triggers covers changes to an agent's own details and activity — the areas they cover, tags applied to them, and appointments being booked with them.
Set a condition, and REsimpli acts as soon as an agent matches it.
Steps
Part 1: Build the Automation
Step 1: Open your agent triggers
Go to Automations.
Click Agents.
Select Other Triggers.
Click Add Automation and give it a name.
Step 2: Choose the condition
Select what should trigger the automation:
A tag being added
Target county
Target city
Target state
Target zip
Agent with permission
A new appointment for the agent
The video uses a new appointment.
Click Save.
Step 3: Set your timing
Choose your delay preference and default time zone.
Step 4: Add your steps
You can:
Notify team members — useful the moment an appointment is booked with an agent
Add a tag
Add a note
Send an SMS
Send an email
Add a folder
Move the agent to a different call flow
Step 5: Change the agent's status
You can also move the agent to another status — Qualified, for example.
When you do, choose what happens to the pending tasks from their old status.
Step 6: Save
Click Save.
Part 2: Test It
Step 7: Check the agent first
Open an agent and check their automations. There should be none running.
Step 8: Add an appointment
Add the appointment setter, which is recorded for tracking.
Select the appointment type, such as a phone appointment.
Select the assignee.
Add the date and time.
Set up a reminder for the agent and for the assignee.
Click Add Appointment.
Your automation will trigger.
Step 9: Confirm it ran
Check the agent's automations again. Yours will be listed as triggered.
Part 3: Track It
Step 10: Check enrollment
Go to Automations, Agents, then Other Triggers.
You will see how many agents are currently enrolled.
Open Automation Enrollment to see them.
Click any agent for their actions, each step's status, and when the remaining steps are scheduled.
Important Notes
Target county, city, state, and zip are agent criteria, so this automation can react to the areas an agent covers rather than to something you did.
A new appointment is a trigger, which makes this a natural way to alert your team the moment a meeting is booked.
The appointment setter is recorded for tracking, separately from the assignee.
Changing a status lets you decide what happens to old pending tasks — complete them, or leave them open.
Moving an agent to a different call flow changes how their inbound calls are routed.
Troubleshooting
Your automation did not trigger
Check the condition matches the change you made. An appointment trigger will not fire when a tag is added.
Your team was not told about a new appointment
Check the notification step and who it targets.
Old tasks are still open after a status change
The status change step decides this. Set it to complete pending tasks from the old status.
You want to see which agents are enrolled
Open Automations, Agents, Other Triggers, then Automation Enrollment.
You are not sure when a step will run
Click the agent in the enrollment list to see each step's status and scheduled time.
Summary
You built an automation on an agent change. You opened Automations, Agents, and Other Triggers, and set a condition such as a new appointment being booked. You added team notifications, tags, notes, messaging, and a status change with a decision on old pending tasks. You then tested it by booking an appointment with an agent and tracked the result through Automation Enrollment.
