How to View Import and Export Logs in List Stacking in REsimpli

Written by Anthony Estrada

Overview

The import and export logs are the record of data going in and out of List Stacking.

The import log tells you whether an upload worked. The export log tells you what left, who took it, and when — and it is where you download the file.

Steps

Step 1: Open List Stacking

Go to List Stacking. The logs are in the tabs across the top.

The Import Log

Step 2: Open the import log

Click Import Log.

You will see every list or data set that has been imported into List Stacking.

Step 3: Check an import

For each import you can see:

  • When it was added

  • How many lists and tags it included

  • How many records it contained

  • How many were valid

  • How many were invalid

This is where you confirm an import worked, and how much of it came through cleanly.

The Export Log

Step 4: Open the export log

Click Export Log.

Every export of records or properties from List Stacking is recorded here.

Step 5: Download your file

Click the filename on the left side to download it.

This is where exports are collected — the file is not delivered at the moment you export.

Step 6: Check who exported it

On the right side you can see:

  • Who exported the list

  • When it was exported

Important Notes

  • Exports are downloaded from the log, not at the time you export. If a file never appeared, this is where to look for it.

  • The export log records who took the data and when. That is worth knowing if you need to account for data leaving the system.

  • The import log's valid and invalid counts tell you how much of an upload actually landed, which is more useful than assuming a completed import means a complete import.

  • Both logs live in the tabs at the top of List Stacking.

Troubleshooting

Your exported file never downloaded

  • Open the Export Log and click the filename to download it.

Fewer records imported than were in your file

  • Check the valid and invalid counts in the Import Log. Invalid records are not imported.

You need to know who exported a list

  • The Export Log shows the user and the date for every export.

You cannot find the logs

  • They are tabs at the top of List Stacking.

Summary

You reviewed your import and export logs. Under List Stacking you opened the Import Log to see when each list was added and how many records were valid or invalid, and the Export Log to download exported files and see who exported them and when.
