How to View Unread Messages in Your Inbox in REsimpli

Written by Anthony Estrada

Overview

You can filter any of your inbox tabs to show only unread messages, so nothing sits unanswered without you noticing.

You can also mark a conversation back to unread once you have opened it, which works well as a to-do marker.

Steps

Step 1: Open your inbox and choose a tab

Open your Inbox and choose which tab to check — External, Internal, or List Stacking.

Unread filtering works the same way on each.

Step 2: Add a filter

Click Add a Filter.

Step 3: Filter by activity status

  1. Under the parameters, click Activity Status.

  2. Select Unread.

You can add other parameters as well, but if unread is all you need, this is enough.

Click Continue.

Step 4: Save it or use it once

  • Save the filter if you will check unread messages regularly

  • Apply without saving for a one-off

Step 5: Spot unread messages

Your inbox now shows only unread conversations.

A green circle beside a message means it is still unread.

Step 6: Mark something as unread

If you have opened a conversation but want to come back to it:

  1. Click the three dots on that conversation.

  2. Click Mark as Unread.

Important Notes

  • The green circle is the unread indicator, so you can spot unread items without filtering at all.

  • Saving the unread filter is worth doing if this is part of your daily routine.

  • Mark as Unread is a useful to-do marker. Opening a message you cannot deal with yet does not have to mean losing track of it.

  • The same filter works on the External, Internal, and List Stacking tabs.

Troubleshooting

You cannot find the unread filter

  • Click Add a Filter, then choose Activity Status from the parameters, then Unread.

A conversation disappeared from your unread list

  • Opening a conversation marks it as read. Use the three dots and Mark as Unread to put it back.

You are checking the wrong messages

  • Check which tab you are on. External, Internal, and List Stacking each have their own conversations.

You want this filter every day

  • Save it rather than rebuilding it each time.

Summary

You filtered your inbox for unread messages. You opened the tab you wanted, clicked Add a Filter, chose Activity Status and Unread, and either saved the filter or applied it once. You spotted unread items by their green circle, and used the three dots and Mark as Unread to flag a conversation to come back to.
