Overview
Your inbox has three markers for keeping on top of conversations: unread, flagged, and archived.
Each one can be applied to a conversation and filtered for afterwards, so you can work through what needs attention and clear away what does not.
The Three Markers
Marker | What it means | How it is applied |
Unread | Not yet dealt with. Cleared when you open the conversation, but you can set it back. | Automatic, or three dots → Mark as Unread |
Flagged | Needs coming back to. Survives being read. | Flag button inside the conversation |
Archived | Done with. Hidden from your inbox. | Three dots → Archive |
All three work on the External, Internal, and List Stacking tabs.
Filtering by Marker
The same steps work for all three.
Step 1: Choose your tab
Open your Inbox and choose External, Internal, or List Stacking.
Step 2: Add a filter
Click Add a Filter.
Step 3: Filter by activity status
Select Activity Status from the parameters.
Select Unread, Flagged, or Archived.
Click Continue.
Step 4: Save it or use it once
Save the filter if you check this regularly
Apply without saving for a one-off
Step 5: Remove the filter
Click the button to remove the filter and return to your full inbox.
Working With Unread
A green circle beside a conversation means it is still unread, so you can spot them without filtering.
To put a conversation back to unread after opening it, click the three dots and choose Mark as Unread. This is a useful to-do marker when you have read something but cannot deal with it yet.
Working With Flagged
To flag a conversation, open it and click the flag button. A banner appears confirming it is flagged.
Flagging is the marker to use when you want something to stay marked even after you have read it.
Working With Archived
To archive a conversation, click the three dots and choose Archive.
The conversation disappears from your inbox. It has not gone — filter by Archived to see it again.
Bringing a conversation back
To unarchive:
Filter by Activity Status and Archived to see your archived conversations.
Click the three dots on the conversation.
Click Unarchive.
The conversation returns to your main inbox. Remove the filter to see it there.
Important Notes
Flagged survives reading; unread does not. Use flagged for anything that needs to stay marked.
Archiving hides a conversation from your inbox. If something has vanished, filter by archived before assuming it is lost.
The green circle is your unread indicator, visible without any filter applied.
Nothing is flagged automatically. Flags mean whatever your team agrees they mean.
All three markers work identically across the External, Internal, and List Stacking tabs.
Troubleshooting
A conversation has disappeared from your inbox
It has probably been archived. Filter by Activity Status and Archived to find it, then use the three dots and Unarchive to bring it back.
You unarchived a conversation but cannot see it
Remove the archived filter. You are still looking at archived conversations only.
A conversation you wanted to revisit is no longer marked
Opening a conversation clears the unread marker. Use Mark as Unread, or flag it instead so the marker survives.
Your filter is showing everything
Check you selected the right status and clicked Continue.
You want your full inbox back
Click the button to remove the filter.
You check the same view every day
Save the filter rather than rebuilding it.
Summary
You organised your inbox using its three markers. You marked conversations unread with the three dots, flagged them from inside the conversation, and archived the ones you were finished with. You then filtered by Activity Status — unread, flagged, or archived — to see each group, saving the filters you use regularly and removing them to get your full inbox back.
