Overview
Archiving a conversation clears it out of your inbox once you are finished with it.
The conversation is not deleted. It is hidden from your main inbox view and can be brought back at any time.
Archiving works on all three inbox tabs — External, Internal, and List Stacking.
Steps
Step 1: Open your Inbox
Hover over the left side panel and click Inbox, then choose the tab you want.
Step 2: Find the conversation
Locate the conversation you have finished with.
Step 3: Archive it
Click the three dots on the conversation.
Click Archive.
The conversation disappears from your inbox.
Important Notes
Archiving is not deleting. The conversation and its full history are kept. You can bring it back whenever you need it.
The conversation vanishes from your inbox with no marker left behind. This is the intended behaviour, but it is why an archived conversation is often reported as missing.
To see your archived conversations, filter by Activity Status and Archived.
Archiving is per conversation, not per contact. A new message from the same person arrives as normal.
Archive is the right marker for something you are done with. If you still need to come back to it, flag it instead.
Troubleshooting
You archived the wrong conversation
Filter by Activity Status and Archived to find it, then use the three dots and Unarchive.
You cannot find the Archive option
It is under the three dots on the conversation row, not inside the conversation itself.
A teammate says a conversation has disappeared
Check whether it was archived before assuming anything was lost. Filter by Archived to confirm.
You want the conversation to stay visible but marked
Use flag instead of archive. A flagged conversation stays in your inbox and keeps its marker even after you read it.
