6.0 Office Hours - Sep 24 - 12 PM ET

Written by Tazoar Ahsan

Overview

On Thursday, September 24, 2026, Sharad Mehta hosted the noon office hours call solo, covering automation setup walkthroughs, undelivered SMS diagnostics, Google Calendar sync, lead manager dashboard tracking, and pipeline design guidance.

  • The iOS app update was submitted to Apple and pending review, expected Thursday, September 24, or Friday, September 25. A web update with additional fixes is scheduled for Monday, September 28.

  • Google Calendar sync for edited appointments is confirmed shipping on Friday, September 25; new appointments push correctly, but edits to date or time do not update in Google Calendar yet.

  • Undelivered SMS notifications can be caused by landlines, carrier flags, or A2P issues. Sharad demonstrated using if/else phone-type branching in automations to route landlines to a call-only drip and skip texting entirely.

  • The lead manager dashboard's calls-made metric tracks unique contacts called rather than total calls, and calls from campaigns not reflected in the filter are not counted. A total calls metric is coming soon.

  • DNC records in list stacking reappear in the triple-line dialer queue when the same owner has multiple properties, because DNC currently applies per-record rather than per-contact across records.

  • Automation tasks are currently created only on their due date rather than at activation time. The Monday, September 28, update will change this so all tasks are created the moment the automation is assigned.

  • Sharad walked a new user through building a full lead assignment automation from scratch, including role assignment, pipeline placement, and using "other" appointment type for discovery calls to avoid triggering seller appointment KPIs.

  • A user requested the ability to trigger opt-out-of-marketing and opt-out-of-direct-mail actions in list stacking from a lead-side automation tied to dead lead reason codes.

The call closed with an announcement of an automation masterclass later that Thursday evening and a preview of the following week's schedule: Tuesday, September 29, basic setup webinar and Thursday, October 1, Open API guest webinar.

00:01:02 iOS app update pending Apple review, web update shipping Monday, September 28

Sharad confirmed that the latest iOS app update had already been submitted to Apple and was in review, with approval expected either that day, Thursday, September 24, or Friday, September 25. An Android update was on a similar timeline. A broader web platform update was scheduled for Monday, September 28, including bulk SMS to multiple contacts, automation task creation at trigger time, and additional performance fixes.

00:06:07 Google Calendar sync fix for edited appointments shipping Friday, September 25

A user reported that when his lead manager changes an appointment's date or time, the edit does not push to Google Calendar even though new appointments sync correctly. Sharad confirmed the fix was already in progress and would ship on Friday, September 25. Deleting the appointment also deletes it from Google Calendar, but the edit path specifically was broken.

00:06:36 Undelivered SMS diagnostics and if/else phone-type branching to skip landlines in automations

A user was receiving constant undeliverable notifications from outbound drip texts. Sharad explained that hovering over the SMS exclamation icon on a lead shows the exact Twilio error reason, which could range from landline rejection to A2P carrier flagging. He then built an if/else automation branch live on screen, using the phone-type condition to route landlines into a call-only drip and all other number types into the standard text-plus-call drip (00:08:51). He recommended duplicating the existing automation, removing SMS steps from the landline branch, and attaching both branches under a single "move to other automation" step.

00:29:16 Lead manager dashboard calls-made metric tracks unique contacts, not total dials

A user shared his screen showing that his lead manager's calls-made count and talk time on the acquisition manager dashboard were far lower than expected. Sharad clarified that the metric counts unique contacts called, not total dials. A lead manager who calls the same property five times shows as one, not five (00:37:25). Calls from campaigns outside the active filter also do not appear. A total-calls metric will be added alongside the unique-contacts figure. Sharad investigated the specific account live and found some calls were not registering, which he ticketed separately.

00:40:01 DNC in list stacking does not suppress the same owner's other properties in the triple-line dialer

A user reported that after marking a contact as DNC during a list stacking dialing session, the same person reappears immediately because they own multiple properties. DNC currently applies per-record, so the other property records tied to the same owner still surface in the dialer. Sharad acknowledged the gap and said he would check with the team on applying DNC at the contact level so it suppresses all records associated with that person.

00:47:40 Duplicate lead records created when list stacking addresses contain invalid formatting

A user was unable to push a list stacking record to leads because the system said a duplicate already existed, but the existing lead had an address with extra characters (a PMD suffix). Sharad demonstrated editing the address inline to remove the invalid portion, then deleting the orphaned record. He explained that the deduplication check matches on the normalized address, so an invalid or malformed address can bypass the check and create an unlinked duplicate. Performance improvements to reduce lag during dialing sessions were also being pushed over the following days.

00:54:00 Automation setup walkthrough covering appointment types, pipeline movement, and lead assignment

Sharad walked a new user through configuring call-outcome-based automations using the activity trigger to push dead leads and book appointments that move leads between pipelines. He clarified that only the seller appointment type feeds into KPIs; discovery calls and internal walk-throughs should use the "other" type to avoid inflating appointment metrics (00:55:39). He then built a new-lead-created automation from scratch, assigning lead manager and acquisition manager roles and selecting all campaigns, and demonstrated filtering for unassigned leads in bulk to backfill roles on existing records (00:59:00).

00:29:16 Opt-out-of-marketing automation from lead-side dead lead reason codes is requested

A user described his workflow for handling "take me off your list" requests: he marks the lead as dead with a specific reason code, then manually navigates to list stacking and opts the record out of direct mail or all marketing. He asked whether the opt-out action in list stacking could be triggered automatically from a lead-side automation tied to the dead lead reason code. Sharad confirmed this does not exist yet but agreed it makes sense and said he would get it added so that a lead automation can push opt-out status changes back into list stacking (00:31:56).
