How to Create a Web Form in REsimpli

Written by Anthony Estrada

Overview

A web form is an online form you share with other people so they can send you information. When someone fills it out, the details are added to your REsimpli account automatically.

This is useful when another company sends you leads. Instead of giving them a user account in REsimpli, you can just send them your web form link.

Steps

Step 1: Open your web forms

  1. Click Settings in the lower-left corner of your screen.

  2. Click Web Forms.

Step 2: Choose the type of form

You can create these types of forms:

  • Lead

  • Buyer

  • Agent

  • Vendor

  • Website

The video creates a Lead form.

Step 3: Start a new form

  1. Click New Webform in the upper-right corner.

  2. Enter a name for your form.

Step 4: Fill in the basic details

Fill in the settings that tell REsimpli how to handle the leads that come in:

  • Marketing Campaign

  • Lead Pipeline

  • Lead Status

  • Fallback Communication Number — this one is optional

These settings are for you, not for the person filling out the form. They will not see them. They decide where your leads land and how they appear in your account, so take a moment to get them right.

Step 5: Choose which fields to show

Now decide what the person filling out the form will see.

Turn each field on to show it, or off to hide it. For example:

  • If you do not want people marking a lead as hot, hide that option.

  • If you do not want people choosing the property type, hide that option under property details.

Phone number is always required. A lead cannot be submitted without one.

Step 6: Choose which custom questions to show (optional)

Custom questions are extra questions you can ask on the form.

  • Leave a question visible to include it.

  • Hide it if you do not need it.

  • To hide all of them, turn them off.

If you want to ask a question that is not in the list, you must create it first. Go to the Customization page in Settings and create it there. Then come back to your web form and make it visible.

Step 7: Save your form

Click Save.

Your web form link is now ready.

Step 8: Share your link

  1. Click the copy icon to copy your web form link.

  2. Save the link somewhere safe.

  3. Send it to the people who will be sending you leads.

Step 9: What the other person sees

When someone opens your link, they will fill in the fields you left visible. In the video's form, that includes:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Phone number

  • Whether the lead is hot

  • Whether the property is residential or land

  • The property address

  • Any custom questions you made visible

  • Notes

They then submit the lead.

Step 10: Find your new leads

Once someone submits the form, the lead is added to your account automatically.

It will appear in:

  • The pipeline you chose in Step 4

  • Under the status you chose in Step 4

Any notes they wrote will appear in the comment section, and their answers to your custom questions will appear as well.

Important Notes

  • Phone number is required. Nobody can submit a lead without one.

  • The basic details in Step 4 are private. The person filling out the form never sees them.

  • The basic details control where your leads go, so set them carefully before you share your link.

  • A custom question must be created on the Customization page in Settings before it can appear on your form.

  • Save your web form link somewhere safe. You will need it every time you share the form.

Troubleshooting

A lead cannot be submitted

  • The phone number may be missing. Phone number is required on every form.

The custom question you want is not in the list

  • It has not been created yet. Go to the Customization page in Settings, create the question, then return to your web form and make it visible.

Your leads are not showing where you expected

  • Check the basic details on your form. The Lead Pipeline and Lead Status you chose decide where new leads land.

People are seeing fields you do not want them to fill in

  • Hide those fields in your form settings. Any field you turn off will not appear on the form.

Summary

You created a web form in REsimpli. You picked the form type, named it, and set the marketing campaign, pipeline, and status that new leads should use. You chose which fields and custom questions people would see, saved the form, and copied the link to share. Now, when someone submits your form, the lead appears in your chosen pipeline automatically.
