Overview
Exporting lets you download your leads as a file you can open on your computer. You can export every lead in a pipeline, or only the ones you choose.
You would use this when you need your lead information outside REsimpli, such as in a spreadsheet.
Steps
Step 1: Open your pipeline
Hover your mouse over the funnel icon in the left menu.
Select the pipeline you want to export from.
The video uses the Active Leads pipeline.
Step 2: Narrow your leads (optional)
If you only want to export certain leads, set up a filter first.
Click Add a Filter and add the filters you need.
Skip this step if you want everything in the pipeline.
Step 3: Select your leads
Click the Selected button.
Click Select All.
Step 4: Start the export
Click Actions.
Click Export Selected.
Step 5: Name your file
Enter a file name, then click Continue.
Step 6: Choose your fields
You will see the data selection screen. This is where you choose what information goes into your file.
Look through the fields and uncheck anything you do not need.
Step 7: Export
Click Export Records.
Step 8: Open your export log
Once the export finishes:
Go to All Leads.
Click the Export Log tab.
Your export will be listed here.
Step 9: Download your file
Find your export under Date Added.
Hover your mouse over the date.
Click the download icon.
Enter a file name, or keep the one already there.
Click Save.
Your file is now saved on your computer.
Important Notes
Apply your filters before you export. The export includes whatever is selected at the time.
Unchecking fields you do not need keeps your file smaller and easier to read.
Exporting does not download the file straight away. You collect it from the Export Log afterwards.
The Export Log lives under All Leads, not inside the pipeline you exported from.
You can rename the file again when you save it to your computer.
Troubleshooting
Your file did not download
Exporting and downloading are two separate steps. Go to All Leads, open the Export Log tab, and download your file from there.
You exported the wrong leads
Your filters may not have been applied before you selected. Set up your filter first, then select your leads and export again.
Your file has columns you do not want
Uncheck those fields on the data selection screen before clicking Export Records.
You cannot find your export
Look in the Export Log tab under All Leads. Exports are listed by the date they were added.
Summary
You exported leads from a pipeline. You opened the pipeline from the funnel icon, filtered if you needed to, and selected your leads. You named your file, chose which fields to include, and clicked Export Records. You then opened the Export Log under All Leads and downloaded the file to your computer.
