How to Check Your Spam Status and Request Spam Remediation in REsimpli

Written by Anthony Estrada

Overview

If your calls show up as Spam, Spam Risk, or Scam Likely on the other person's phone, far fewer people will answer.

This guide shows you how to check your number's spam status in REsimpli, and what to do if your number has been labelled.

Before You Start

It helps to know the difference between two things:

  • Your Spam Check status in REsimpli, which shows as Good or N/A

  • The label recipients see on their own phone when you call, such as Spam or Scam Likely

These do not always agree. Your status can read Good while recipients still see a spam label, and that is a recognised situation covered below.

Steps

Step 1: Check Your Spam Status

Go to the Spam Check section in your REsimpli account and look at the status of your phone number.

You will see one of two statuses:

  • Good

  • N/A

What you do next depends on what you see, and on what your recipients are seeing.

Scenario 1: Your Status Shows "N/A"

First, work out when the phone number was purchased.

If you bought the number in the last 7 days

No action needed. It can take up to 7 days for the Spam Check status to update on a newly purchased number.

If it has been more than 7 days and the status is still N/A

Contact support@resimpli.com for help.

Scenario 2: Your Number Is Marked as Spam

If your number shows as Spam, Spam Risk, Scam Likely, or something similar when you make calls, contact the Support Team.

To let them start the remediation process, include:

  • Business Email Address

  • Company Name

  • DBA, if applicable

  • Contact Number

  • Business Address

  • Website

  • EIN (Employer Identification Number)

  • Employee Count

Your request will then be reviewed and remediation started.

Scenario 3: Your Status Says "Good" but Calls Still Show as Spam

This happens, and it is worth reporting.

Send a screenshot showing your number displayed as Spam or Scam Likely on the recipient's phone.

Once that is received, the issue will be investigated and remediation started.

Important Notes

  • Remediation is not instant. Carrier partners and caller ID analytics providers update their spam databases on their own schedules, and every provider is different.

  • Some improvement may show within several days or weeks, but full propagation across all carrier networks, analytics providers, and recipient devices can take several months.

  • Even after successful remediation, some recipients will still see the old label. Devices and analytics providers cache information until their databases refresh, so during this period some people see the updated caller information and others do not.

  • Registration with First Orion helps major carriers recognise your business and reduces the chance of being labelled as spam. It is an important step for your caller reputation, but it does not guarantee immediate removal of existing labels, because each carrier and provider updates independently.

  • A screenshot from the recipient's phone is the most useful evidence you can provide. It shows what is actually happening on the recipient's network.

Troubleshooting

Your Spam Check status shows N/A

  • Your number is probably newly purchased. Allow up to 7 days for the status to appear. If it is still N/A after that, contact support@resimpli.com.

Your calls are being labelled as Spam or Scam Likely

  • Contact the Support Team with your business details, including your company name, address, website, EIN, and employee count, so remediation can begin.

Your status is Good but recipients still see a spam label

  • Send a screenshot of the label appearing on the recipient's phone. This case is investigated and remediated like any other.

You completed remediation but calls are still labelled

  • The labels may already have been removed while devices and carrier databases continue showing cached information. Full propagation can take several months, and during that time some recipients will see the old label and others the new one.

You have waited and the label is still appearing

  • Contact support@resimpli.com and include:

  • Your phone number

  • A screenshot showing the spam label on the recipient's device

  • The carrier, if you know it

Your case will be reviewed to see whether anything further can be done.

Your numbers are registered with First Orion but still get labelled

  • Registration improves how carriers recognise your business, but it does not remove existing labels immediately. Each carrier and analytics provider updates on its own schedule.

Getting Help

Include as much detail as you can — your phone number, screenshots from recipients' devices, and the carrier if you know it — so your case can be handled quickly.

Summary

You checked and acted on your spam status. You opened the Spam Check section in REsimpli to see whether your number showed as Good or N/A. If it was N/A on a new number you waited up to 7 days; if your calls were being labelled you sent your business details to support; and if your status was Good but recipients still saw a label you sent a screenshot. Remediation then began, with improvements appearing over weeks and full propagation across all carriers potentially taking several months.
