Overview
A manual automation is one you switch on yourself, for a particular property, rather than one that fires on its own.
For sold properties this is useful for the follow-up work that only applies to some deals — notifying people, tidying up tags, or clearing other automations that are still running.
Steps
Part 1: Build the Automation
Step 1: Open your manual automations
Go to Automations, then select Manual Assignment.
Step 2: Create the automation
Click Add Automation.
Enter an automation name.
Click Save.
Step 3: Set your timing
Choose your delay preference — day-based or delay-based — and set the default time zone for this automation.
Step 4: Add your steps
Build what the automation should do. The available steps are:
Step | What it does |
Notify team members | Alert people about the property. |
Add a tag | Apply a tag to the property. |
Remove a tag | Take a tag off the property. |
Add a folder | Create a folder on the record. |
Add a note | Record a note. |
Add a webhook | Send the event to a system outside REsimpli. |
Assign team members | Put people on the property. |
Unassign team members | Take people off the property. |
Stop other automations | Clear automations already running on it. |
Step 5: Choose your notification channel
When notifying team members, pick how they hear about it:
Channel | Where it arrives |
SMS | As a text message. |
To their email address. | |
Web | In REsimpli in the browser. |
In-app | On the mobile app, if they have it downloaded. |
Step 6: Decide what to stop
If you add a stop other automations step, you can either:
Stop all automations currently active on that property
Stop specific automations you select
Step 7: Save
Click Save.
Part 2: Enable It on a Property
Step 8: Open the property
Open the property you want to run the automation on.
Step 9: Add the automation
Click the automation button on the record.
Click Add Automation.
Select the automation you created and add it.
Step 10: Check what will happen
Click the automation to see:
Its steps and scheduled actions
When each is due to go out
A preview of what will be sent
Part 3: Manage and Track
Step 11: Open Manage Automation
Go to Automations and click Manage Automation on the automation you want.
You will see how many leads it is currently enabled on.
Step 12: Check enrollment
Open Automation Enrollment to see the properties in detail. For each one you get:
The lead name
The property address or APN
The campaign
The enrollment date
Step 13: Check an individual property
Click a property to see the status of every step — whether it has been executed, when it ran, and the execution date for anything still pending.
Important Notes
Manual automations do not start on their own. You enable them per property, which suits work that only applies to some deals.
You can unassign team members as well as assign them, which is useful for clearing people off a deal once it has closed.
Stop other automations can be targeted. Stop everything running on the property, or only the ones you name.
In-app notifications go to the mobile app, so that channel only reaches people who have it installed.
A webhook step lets a closed deal notify a system outside REsimpli.
Automation Enrollment shows the campaign and enrollment date for each property, which helps when you are checking whether the right deals were included.
Troubleshooting
Your automation has not run
It has to be enabled on the property by hand. Open the property, click the automation button, and add it.
You want to see exactly what will be sent before it goes
Click the automation on the property. It shows the scheduled actions with timings and a preview.
People are still assigned to a closed deal
Add an unassign team members step to your automation.
Other automations are still running on a sold property
Add a stop other automations step, and choose whether to stop all of them or only specific ones.
Your team did not get the notification
Check the channel. In-app only reaches people with the mobile app installed.
You need to know which properties are enrolled
Open Manage Automation, then Automation Enrollment, for the full list with lead name, address, campaign, and enrollment date.
Summary
You built a manual automation for sold properties. Under Automations and Manual Assignment you created it, set your timing and time zone, and added steps — notifications on your chosen channel, tags added or removed, folders, notes, webhooks, assigning and unassigning team members, and stopping other automations. You then enabled it on a property, checked its scheduled actions and preview, and tracked everything through Manage Automation and Automation Enrollment.
