How to View Leads on a Map in REsimpli

Written by Anthony Estrada

Overview

Map view plots the properties in your pipeline geographically, so you can see where your leads actually are.

Each pin is colour-coded by the lead's status, and you can open a property from the map or drop into street view to look at the house.

Steps

Step 1: Open the pipeline

Open the pipeline whose leads you want to see.

Map view shows the properties in the pipeline you are currently in.

Step 2: Click the map view button

Click the map view button.

All the properties in that pipeline appear as pins.

Step 3: Zoom in and out

Zoom in and out to move between an overview of your market and a single street.

Step 4: Open a property

Click a pin to see that property's details, including:

  • Property details

  • Acquisition timeline

  • Custom fields

Step 5: Read the pin colours

Each pin takes the colour of the lead's current status. A pin's colour tells you where that lead stands without opening it.

Step 6: Use street view

To look at a property more closely, drag and drop onto it to switch to street view.

Important Notes

  • Map view is pipeline-scoped. You are seeing the pipeline you are in, not every lead on the account. If a property is missing, check which pipeline you are viewing.

  • Pin colours come from your status colours. Map view is only as readable as your status colour scheme — if several statuses share similar colours, the map tells you very little at a glance.

  • This is the view for planning a driving route or a door-knocking day. Seeing which leads cluster together is something no list or board can show you.

  • Street view lets you look at the house before you call. Condition, occupancy, whether it is what the seller described.

  • Map, grid, and list each do different jobs. Status customization is a grid-view function; the dialer and bulk actions are list-view functions; geography is map view.

  • A property will only appear if it has an address that can be placed on a map.

Troubleshooting

A property is not appearing on the map

  • Check which pipeline you are in — map view only shows the current pipeline. Also check the property has a full, correct address.

All your pins look the same colour

  • Pin colour follows status colour. Set distinct colours on your statuses so the map is readable.

You cannot find the map view button

  • It sits with the other view options on the pipeline.

You cannot get into street view

  • Drag and drop onto the property you want to look at.

Land records are not showing

  • Land leads are identified by APN rather than a street address, so they may not place on a map the way residential properties do.

You want to work with the leads you can see

  • Switch to list view for bulk actions and the dialer. Map view is for seeing where things are.

Summary

You viewed your leads on a map. You opened a pipeline, clicked the map view button, and saw its properties as pins colour-coded by lead status. You zoomed in and out, clicked a pin to see the property details, acquisition timeline, and custom fields, and dragged and dropped to look at a property in street view.
