How to Assign a List Stacking Record to a Team Member in REsimpli

Written by Anthony Estrada

Overview

You can assign a property in List Stacking to a member of your team, so it is clear who is working that record.

Assignment is done from the record itself, on its Teams tab.

Steps

Step 1: Open the record

In List Stacking, click the property address of the record you want to assign.

Step 2: Go to the Teams tab

Click the Teams tab.

Step 3: Click Manage Member

Click Manage Member.

Step 4: Select the team member

Select the person you want to assign the record to.

Step 5: Save

Click Save.

That record is now assigned to them.

Important Notes

  • Assignment is done per record, from the record itself. You open the property, not a settings page.

  • Assigning tells your team who owns the prospect. Without it, a large stacked list has no clear ownership and records get worked twice or not at all.

  • Assign alongside a status. Status says what needs doing; assignment says who is doing it. Either one on its own leaves half the question open.

  • Assigning does not notify the person unless something else is set up to do so. Tell them, or agree a routine of checking their assigned records.

  • You can assign more than one person to a record, and remove someone using the delete button beside their name on the same Teams tab.

  • List Stacking records are prospects, not leads. Assigning a record here is separate from assigning a lead in a pipeline.

Troubleshooting

You cannot find the Teams tab

  • Open the record first by clicking its property address. The tab is on the record, not on the list.

Your team member is not in the list

  • Check they have been added as a user on the account, under Manage Users and Roles.

Your changes did not stick

  • Click Save after selecting the person.

You want to assign many records at once

  • Check the bulk actions available in List Stacking rather than opening each record.

Nobody is working their assigned records

  • Assignment on its own is silent. Agree how your team checks what they have been given.

You want to see everything assigned to one person

  • Use the filtering available in List Stacking to narrow by team member.

You want to unassign someone

  • Open the record's Teams tab and click the delete button beside their name.
