Overview
A driving route is a set of properties assigned to a driver to go and look at.
You build the route by selecting properties in List Stacking and assigning them, along with a name, a start date, and the driver who will run it.
This is how work reaches a driver, since the driver role has access to Driving for Dollars rather than the full CRM.
Steps
Step 1: Open List Stacking
Go to the List Stacking section.
Step 2: Select your properties
Select the properties you want on the route.
Select the group you want your driver to cover in one run, rather than everything on the list.
Step 3: Click Actions
Click the Actions button.
Step 4: Choose Assign to Drive Route
Click Assign to Drive Route.
Step 5: Name the route
Give the route a name.
Using the date is a practical convention — it keeps routes in order and makes it obvious which is which when you have several.
Step 6: Set the expected starting date
Set the expected starting date for the route.
Step 7: Assign it to a driver
Select the driver who will run the route.
Step 8: Save
Click Save Drive Route.
Important Notes
Routes are built from a selection, so filter or sort first. Selecting properties that are geographically close is what makes a route efficient — a driver sent across a city between stops wastes the day.
The driver role only has Driving for Dollars access, not the CRM. Assigning a route is how you get work to them, and it is the reason drivers do not simply look at your lists.
Name routes consistently. Dates work well. Vague names become unusable once you have run a few weeks of routes.
The expected starting date sets the expectation, not a restriction. Use it to plan and to see which routes are outstanding.
Keep routes to a realistic size for one run. A route with hundreds of properties will not be finished, and a half-finished route tells you nothing about what was actually covered.
Map view is a useful way to see which properties cluster together before you decide what goes on a route.
Troubleshooting
You cannot find the Actions button
Select properties first. The button applies to whatever you have selected.
Your driver cannot see the route
Check they have been set up with the driver role and can sign in to the Driving for Dollars app.
Your driver is being sent all over the place
The route follows the properties you selected. Use filters or map view to select a cluster before assigning.
You want to see how a route is progressing
Check your drive schedules rather than the List Stacking list.
You assigned the route to the wrong person
Reassign the route to the correct driver.
A property on the route is already a lead
Check the Status column before selecting. A property showing In Leads is already in your pipeline.
