Overview
List Stacking shows a lot of columns. You can hide the ones you do not use, so the view holds only what your team actually reads.
Hiding is done with checkboxes and updates in real time — you see the effect as you go, and nothing needs saving.
Steps
Step 1: Open List Stacking
Go to the List Stacking section.
Step 2: Click the icon on the left
Click the icon on the left.
The panel shows all the available parameters, and which ones are currently visible.
Step 3: Uncheck what you want to hide
Uncheck the box beside any parameter you do not need.
That column disappears from the view immediately.
Step 4: Check a box to bring a column back
To show a column again, check its box.
You can change your mind as often as you like.
Important Notes
Changes apply in real time. There is no save step, and nothing is lost by experimenting.
Hiding a column hides the display, not the data. The information is still on the record — you are only choosing what to show in this view.
Hide aggressively. A List Stacking view with twenty columns is harder to work than one with six. You can always bring a column back.
The panel shows what is available as well as what is visible, so it doubles as a list of the data you could be showing.
The same panel reorders columns. Hiding and reordering are done in one place.
Reordering applies from the second column onwards — the first column stays put.
Troubleshooting
A column you expected is missing
Someone may have unchecked it. Open the panel and check its box to bring it back.
You cannot find the icon
It sits on the left of the List Stacking view.
You cannot find a save button
There is not one. Changes take effect as soon as you check or uncheck a box.
You hid something you needed
Check its box again. Nothing is deleted by hiding a column.
You cannot hide the first column
The first column is fixed and cannot be reordered. If it also cannot be unchecked, it is there by design.
Your view looks different from a colleague's
Compare which parameters each of you has checked, and agree one arrangement if you work from the same list together.
