How to Create Statuses in List Stacking in REsimpli

Written by Anthony Estrada

Overview

List Stacking has its own statuses for tracking prospects through your prospecting workflow — for example, records waiting to be skip traced.

These are separate from your lead pipeline statuses. List Stacking tracks prospects; your pipelines track leads.

REsimpli gives you pre-made statuses to start with, and you can add your own.

Steps

Step 1: Open List Stacking

Go to the List Stacking section.

Step 2: Click the gear icon

Click the gear icon beside Add Record.

You will see the statuses already set up — there are pre-made ones available by default.

Step 3: Click Add Status

Click Add Status.

Step 4: Name it

Type the name of the status — for example To Skip Trace.

Name it for the action it represents, so anyone looking at the list knows what happens next.

Step 5: Click Add Status

Click Add Status to save it.

Important Notes

  • Check the pre-made statuses before adding your own. Some of what you need is likely already there, and duplicating it with slightly different wording makes the list harder to use.

  • List Stacking statuses are not your lead statuses. A prospect moving through List Stacking is not the same as a lead moving through a pipeline, and the two status sets do not overlap.

  • Name statuses after the next action. "To Skip Trace" tells your team what to do; "Batch 3" does not.

  • Keep the list short. Statuses only work if the person updating them can pick the right one without thinking.

  • Statuses are what make bulk actions useful. Selecting everything in one status is how you act on a group of prospects at once.

  • Agree the meaning of each status with your team. A status everyone interprets differently is worse than none.

Troubleshooting

You cannot find the gear icon

  • It sits beside Add Record in the List Stacking section.

You already have similar statuses

  • Check the pre-made list first. Adding a near-duplicate splits your records across two statuses that mean the same thing.

Your team is not using the statuses

  • Usually a sign there are too many, or that the names describe categories rather than actions.

You want to change a status name

  • Open the same gear icon to manage your statuses.

Your lead pipeline statuses are not appearing here

  • They are separate systems. List Stacking statuses apply to prospects, not to leads in your pipelines.
